After much thought and trial I have begun a new people project shooting women without any kind of manipulation both digital or cosmetic. The aim is to, on a personal level, relieve myself of using any kind of manipulation and to train my brain to see beyond trying to improve something that already has it’s own beauty. As well as this it also has a much deeper meaning to those volunteering to have their images taken and published online. It’s about empowerment and encouragement to love themselves as they are. Obviously there will always be a place for cosmetics and it will always thrive as long as celebrityism continues but as phases change, maybe a new mindset could make it’s way into youth culture that takes a step
